Howard Crisp

I found out about the club at Hoover Jr. Highschool; I joined that club the next day. When I joined SCWC; My first project was a work shoe with bass wood. I carved walking canes, heads, family crests and animals. I took classes from Jerry White.

I like to help the new carvrers with there first project. The last few years I have been trying to learn the lost art of scrimshaw, with books from the library and other places. I work on elk antler, a dupont material named Corian, knife handles and sperm whale teeth. I do square rig ships and schooners, ugly old men and whaleing scenes.

I am as old as dirt and with my hobbys there is not enough hours in the day.
