We would like to welcome you to our website. It was created to bring you information about our woodcarving club. If you have an interest in woodcarving of any kind or think you would like to learn to carve, there is a place here for you.
Even if you spend only part of your time in the Brevard County area. (We have many snow-birds.) So, please check us out.
We have experienced carvers who are willing to take you aside and show you some of the basics to get you started on the wonderful experience of creating something all your own.
There will be classes given at times by experienced carvers where you will be able to carve step by step on various projects.
We have a library where you will be able to check out books for 2 weeks at a time. There is a great selection of all the top-notch carvers in the world represented in our library.
This may be the time for you to begin a wonderful hobby or even a new career. Come to a meeting and have fun with us.

As President, I have had great experiences with all the Club members. I had different members teach me some amazing carvings, including basic carving, relief carving, burning techniques, caricature carvings, Birds’ feathers and eyes. When I started in 2009, I had no idea how to use a knife, gouge or v-tool. Heck, I didn’t even know what a v-tool was, everyone in our Club has something to teach and share with one another. We, as a group, have fun each week; carving, talking, teaching, having a cup of "Jo" and a donut!
In 2012 we started having a picnic with our family members, which is a great time for all.
We meet at the 1440 Mosswood Dr. Melbourne, FL. 32935 The Supervisor there is Jerri Woodring. She has taken care of so many tasks for us. Jerri is always there to lend a helping hand. As one of our distinguished members states, “she is a diamond in the rough!”
Our show is each year on the last Saturday of January has been such a huge and great success. With all the awesome works of art, the talent is unbelievable. We have vendors for members and guests, food and raffles.
At Christmas we have a raffle of a Christmas tree; Decorated with all hand carved ornaments. This goes to a different community cause each year; Either a childrens’ hospital, a battered Womens’ organization, or whatever the Club decides.
In closing, come see us at the 1440 Mosswood Dr. Melbourne, FL. 32935! We are there each Wednesday, 8AM-Noon. Or, Wednesday Evenings: 6pm-9pm At 4391 Portage Trail, Melbourne, FL 32948. Come see just how much enjoyment it is to have the camaraderie, friendship and talent. We have beginners, moderate carvers, very good carvers, and some master carvers in our Club. So…don’t be shy and don’t say to yourself, that you can’t do it; Because I’ll bet you the cost of your membership fee, (which is $30.00 per year), that you can carve! That’s a one-time deal! Come and have fun!
